The following information must be provided when joining a character [whether or not you follow the exact form]:
`OOC
`name/alias
Either your name, or your most commonly known internet alias. This is in case you create a second profile, we know who you are.
`IN CHARACTER
`name The name of your character.
`breed
The breed of your character.
`age
The age of your character. The minimum age is six months. The exception to this is if the foal is born on DOTW.
`gender
Are they male, or are they female? Relatively self explanatory. No geldings.
`appearance
At the most basic level, the colours and markings of the character. More detail is appreciated. This section includes eye colour.
`personality
Your character’s personality. Quirks, likes, dislikes, and generally how they interact with others, as well as what they think and feel. Think of how you’d describe your own personality. You should be able to describe your character’s with the same depth.
`history
This section is optional; if you choose to include it, the general history of your character prior to its entering the Wild.
`sample post
A sample post of your role-playing. That is, a post describing your character’s actions, thoughts and surroundings.
A minimum length of at least 200 words is required. If you don’t quite get there, it is up to the admins and/or joining mods to exercise discretion.
Administrators and Joining Mods do have the authority to decline your character. If they do so, they will give reasons.
When you create a second character, it must go in your original thread. The exception to this is if your origianal thread has been moved.
Not following this may result in your character being declined until such time as you post them in the same thread.
Upon being accepted, post your characters' names in the Taken Names thread.

Phantom
Droga Connemara Pony 2 years Female Bay, black socks and mane/tail, has expressive brown eyes, and a small white scar on on her left hind quarter. Droga is sweet and will only fight if attacked or if she's defending her lands. Droga is a great friend and will never back down if her friends are being picked on or their having trouble getting through things. Since she's still young she can be hasty and a bit feisty. She learned from her mother the ways of healing.
Sample Post: As I stand in the field breathing in the sweet smell of grass, I think of how my mom died. Defending our herd to the last. It just wasn't enough. Men won out after all. Now I have to wander alone. Oh well. At least the remainder of the herd left unharmed. All I have to show of that experiance is a small white scar that hasn't and probably never will heal completely. The sudden stirring of the wind makes me want to run. Run past all the memories surrounding this field. I comply. Racing I leave all memories behind, never will I look upon this field. Ever again. When I finish running I find my self in a valley in the mountains that I've only seen from far away. I feel a disturbance in this valley. I slowly go around the bend and around a great stone. Past it there is a shape. Not moving yet it seems to be alive. While I cautiously aproch the form I see it's some type of horse. My spirit lifts as now I know it's one of my own kind. When I get to the horse at first I thought that he was dead, but then I saw the gradual rise and fall of breathing. Knowing I have no time to lose I quickly search for and find the right herbs that I need. Slowly I chew the them to pulp, then force them down his throat. For days I took care of him slowly he recovered. Once when I came around the bend with the herbs he was sitting up looking at me. Never had I felt so proud of my skills. (to be continued)

OOC: Phantom Name: Phantoms Bane Breed: Basotho Pony (this is a real breed, strange name huh?) Age: 5 Female Black shaggy coat, White stripe down face, dangerous brown eyes, long mane and tail. The tail almost touches the ground but won't get in the way for fighting. She stands at 15 hands. Description: Phantoms Bane LOVES to run. She has tons of stamina and could go all day. When coming to strength she is equal to quite a few of the stallions her same size and a bit bigger. When she fights her thick hard hooves are every where in the right places to finish it. She prefers to not fight but is hot headed when provoked.
Sample Post: I had wandered for two full moons. All I wanted was a home. If the Kings and Queens only knew how valuable I was in a fight then I'd have had a herd a long time ago. I had no desire to rule but only one to belong, a desire to have something to fight for. If not a herd then what about a mate? I was attractive not extremely beuatiful, but enough for anybody to look twice. What it is is that I'm hard to approach 'cause I shut myself out. I decided to do that ever since I'd been played. I trusted him and he had betrayed me.
I told everyone only the first part of my name... Phantom. They have no need to know the other part. The only one to wrestle my full name from me had died. That was why I was on the run. My herd had cast me out, blaming me with the death. I hadn't killed her. She was my best friend. My only friend.
I had wandered into a meadow with ankle deep grass. Making my way over to a oak tree in the middle of the meadow I folded my self down to sleep. Hoping that my dreams are better then my thoughts at the moment. Unfortunitly my brain wouldn't let me rest. I kept going back to him. Why?! Why must my thoughts be plagued by the one who had betrayed me? I gave him the gift of trust and he repaid by treachery.
His coat had been a chestnut. A color that wasn't significant, I found his eyes the most dramatic affect. They where a deep ocean blue. The first time that I had lost my self in them was when he had came into the herd. He was a fighter, probably one of the best. When I had stumbled onto him a few months later I found the worst scene that no horse would even want to think would happen. He was mounted on my best friend. I didn't even think. I imeadatly charged and knocked him down.

Oops, sorry about being so late in getting back to you. Sorry, you need a 300 word post for the second character - currently, your best in this thread is 280. Phantom is declined.
Any other posts of yours - on any site - if you have any long ones, chuck them into this wordcount on the side here and see if it's 300 words.
Sorry about that. I didn't find any thing about adding a hundred words to each new characters post in the modified part. Any way I've updated that and Phantom is ready to be fairly accepted or declined.

It's in the Joining Requirements thread ;] I didn't want to confuse people who were joining for the first time by putting it up in the header, and hoped most people would have read that at some stage anyway.
My name: Conbrio (means with spirit) My breed: not sure, but mostly appaloosa Age:5 Gender: Male Appearance: 16 hh, white speckled with the traditional Appaloosa spots and markings he has a white mane and tail. His eyes are gray-green that scream mischief. His coat is marked lightly from fights he's been in before, but they've all but disappeared. Making him look almost dashing Personality: Conbrio is a clever horse. He is very charming and knows it. When it comes to mares, he has no interest of force breeding. He prefers to have them agree to it before doing any thing. Conbrio also looks after any of his offspring until they are old enough to take care of themselves. Even though he is gentle, as soon as you get on his bad side... you stay there. He is an exellent fighter and won't stop until he's won or he's been soundly beaten. Sample Post:
A breeze ripped through the plains, swirling around trees and a single horse that stood by himself. The air was warm and the breeze was strong, but it was slightly chilled as if coming down from a mountain just to cool Conbrio. The stallions mane and tail streamed in the wind, creating any photographers dream picture. On the wind traveled leaves ripped off of trees before their time. A few seeds flicked and traveled on the wind, hoping to land in a good place to grow.
Flicking his tail slightly, Conbrio set himself into the wind. Picking up his pace he started to gallop straight into the wind. His scars that had long sanken back into his skin streched and rolled with his body. The wind roared in his ears and he answered with a scream that was thrown to the four corners of the earth.Still running, he searched... there! Picking up his pace he stopped in a clearing surrounded by trees. The wind tried and failed to reach him inside the clearing. Looking around he inhaled the scent of water. Flicking his eyes towards the source of the smell, he found a miniture water fall that emptied into a pond.
Conbrio walked over and began to fill his thirst. After the dust from his throat was washed away, he ambled over to a willow and folded him self down to sleep.
Shapes wavered around him, slowly taking form of those whom he'd lost. His mom, dad, lover and sister. All gone in the fire. Standing on smoke they looked over him with disaproval. He had no right to lie down when he could be creating his offspring, but he had no desire to continue his own life, let alone his line. He'd lost everything, yet he still kept on walking. Not only did he not want to have offspring, but his dad had been a forcer, so even in death his dad wanted him to do what he'd told him when he was alive.
Waking up, Conbrio heard that the wind had stopped and he could continue on his journey unhindered. Standing up to his full height, he began to walk back out of the clearing and into the night. Never would he make a mare hold his foal unwillingly. There was no honor in taking advantage of one who wasn't as strong as himself. Conbrio quickened his pace as he thought of this, maybe he could find a mare or two to spread his blood line through, but only if they where willing. Perhaps he could even make a friend.
