`ROLE-PLAY RULES
`one
There is a minimum word count of 100 words for all in-character posts on the site.
`two
With your first post in each thread, type the name of the character you are RPing at the top of your post.
`three
Lesbian, gay or bisexual characters are not allowed to be RPed.
`four
One must not dictate the response of someone else's character in their post. This is called 'god-moding' or 'powerplaying' and is an unfair method of role-playing.
`five
No copyrighted images may be used; nothing that can be easily found on Google is legal. Images on Flickr and other sites need to be covered by Creative Commons. You may have an image made for your use by a Studio, or on the graphics board of this site.
`RULES REGARDING HERDS
`one
The King and/or Queen are the ultimate power in the herds. This means they set the herd ranks, and are obeyed by herd members.
`two
A King and a Queen are equal in power. One does not bow to the other. A stallion may claim a land, and thus become King. A mare may claim a land, and thus become Queen. Both stallions and mares are able to challenge the current leader of a land for the land.
`three
The Queen does not need to be the King's mate, and vice versa.
`four
Any mare or stallion from a herd may visit the Confluence to recruit new herd members.
`five
A player may only role-play one character of King OR Queen rank.
`six
To challenge for a King or Queen position, you need to be able to link to three posts on DOTW that are 300 words or more.
`LAWS REGARDING INTERACTIONS
`one
The Confluence is a land for homeless mares and stallions to be invited to join a herd.
`two
The Secluded Sylva is the breeding ground; the Birthing Burn is where mares give birth to their foals. A lonely horse in the Secluded Sylva is fair prey to be forcebred.
`three
Any horse may fight another horse, for any reason, in the Grievance Grounds. These battles will be judged according to the skill of the role players - myself or a co-admin will judge these. Should a mare be against a stallion, the strength of the stallion will also be taken into account during the judging. A fight will be lost by default if one week goes past without a reply.
`four
The Free Land is for any character to meet new characters. There are no homes in this land; otherwise, there are also no rules.
`five
In fighting, the thread may be declared void if an important character’s player has posted an absence. If either of the opponents are away, then the one-week reply limit is taken to be the days active before and after an absense.
